About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Specialist to join our team at I & G Electrical Ltd. As an Electrical Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical systems in various settings, including construction, commercial, and residential environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install underground wiring and cables to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to meet electrical system requirements.
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults, and circuit integrity to ensure electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults to minimize downtime and ensure electrical systems are running smoothly.
  • Connect power to audio and visual equipment to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables to ensure safe and efficient electrical distribution.
  • Install power generation, stand-by power generation, and power conditioning systems to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems, and structures to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures to meet the needs of our clients.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance programs to ensure electrical systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained correctly.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-paced environment with a focus on meeting deadlines and ensuring electrical systems are functioning properly.
  • Physically demanding work that requires standing, walking, and lifting heavy equipment.
  • Attention to detail is essential to ensure electrical systems are installed and maintained correctly.
Requirements
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in electrical installation and maintenance.
  • Permanent employment with a competitive salary and benefits package.
  • English as the primary language of communication.
  • 32 hours per week of work, with opportunities for overtime.
