Job Title: Physiotherapist

Join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals as a Physiotherapist at Southern Health-Santé Sud. As a key member of our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient-centered care.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Physiotherapist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing rehabilitation programs for children and adults with various physical disabilities. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical abilities and develop personalized rehabilitation plans
  • Implement and evaluate rehabilitation programs, including exercises, stretches, and other interventions
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on rehabilitation techniques and strategies
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices in rehabilitation care
Requirements:
  • Masters or Baccalaureate Degree in Physiotherapy (BMR – PT) or equivalent entry-level requirement in Physiotherapy
  • Active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Manitoba (CPM)
  • Eligible for membership with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, Outlook/Email
  • Demonstrated effective oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated effective decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with management and staff within the region as well as appropriate outside vendors and agencies
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required
  • Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions
  • Demonstrated ability to meet the physical and mental demands of the job
  • Demonstrated ability to respect confidentiality, including paper, electronic formats, and other mediums
  • Good work and attendance record
Conditions of Employment:
  • Completes and maintains a satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Search, Adult Abuse Registry Check, and Child Abuse Registry Check, as appropriate
  • All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with Southern Health-Santé Sud policy
  • Requires a valid driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00
