About the Role

Belcan Inc. is seeking a highly skilled EHS Generalist to join our team. As an EHS Generalist, you will play a critical role in providing strategic planning and support for health and safety procedures across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement EHS Procedures: Create, review, and update environment, health & safety procedures, reports, and training as required by local site requirements, RTX and P&W Policy, and all Federal, Provincial, and Local regulatory agencies.
  • Manage EHS Training: Develop, update, and manage internal Environment Health & Safety (EHS) training content and external training coordination.
  • Conduct Audits and Inspections: Inspect, audit, and assess facility activities related to work practices for compliance as required by local, provincial, and federal law and RTX policy.
  • Lead EHS Safety Committees: Lead and support EHS safety committees with the goal of reducing injuries, incidents, and meeting company initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Central EHS Group: Partner with the company's Central EHS group to ensure standardization of procedures and processes across the enterprise.
  • Support Business Units: Collaborate with business unit supervisors/managers and sr. leadership to achieve a strong understanding of industrial risks and work with the organization to develop and execute mitigation to eliminate such risks.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Environment Health & Safety or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Strong Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong communication and presentation skills are essential for this role.
  • Flexibility and Results-Driven: Flexibility to perform work on all shifts and provide on-site support for office and shop floor employees, with a strong focus on results-driven performance.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is required for this role.
