Junior Asset Management Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Asset Management Engineer to join our team at FortisBC. As a key member of our Asset Management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of energy to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead day-to-day identification, analysis, and project development activities related to climate change operational adaptation.
- Establish effective working relationships with peers and business units, including Engineering, Project Management, Operations, System Control, Generation, Regulatory, and Community Relations.
- Support the Regional Engineer in completing distribution planning, asset management, and operational support related activities.
- Develop plans and business cases for new projects and initiatives related to climate change adaptation across various operational areas.
- Support the capital budget process and regulatory applications.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited Institute.
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in the development, design, construction and/or operation of electric generation, transmission and/or distribution assets, or related experience.
- Experience or understanding of asset management processes related to energy delivery systems.
- Experience or understanding of distribution planning.
- Proficient computer skills and experience working with large data sets.
- Valid BC Class 5 (or other provincial equivalent) Driver's License with a clean driving record.
