Job Title: Maintenance Millwright

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our team at VPC Group Inc.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Millwright will be responsible for performing routine maintenance work on machinery, assembling mechanical equipment, and troubleshooting irregularities and malfunctions. The ideal candidate will have experience with machinery installation, maintenance, and repair, as well as a strong understanding of mechanical systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, including lubrication, cleaning, and inspection
  • Assemble mechanical equipment, including stationary industrial machinery
  • Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in mechanical systems and equipment
  • Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Construct foundations for machinery and repair or replace defective machinery parts
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up
  • Estimate costs and materials for maintenance and repair projects
  • Operate machining tools to fabricate parts and install machinery and equipment
  • Operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy loads
Requirements:
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification
  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Red Seal Endorsement
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Forklift Operator Certification
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Experience with conveyor systems, electrical and electronic controls, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Knowledge of computerized alignment and wiring
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and handle heavy loads
