Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Delivery Drivers
    • Oversee the daily activities of our delivery drivers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary resources and information to complete their tasks efficiently.
    • Coordinate the scheduling and dispatching of delivery routes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Manage Logistics Operations
    • Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to improve delivery times and reduce errors.
    • Collaborate with our operations team to identify areas for improvement and implement process changes as needed.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safety
    • Ensure that all delivery drivers are in compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant laws and regulations.
    • Monitor and report on safety incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Train and Develop Team Members
    • Provide training and coaching to delivery drivers to improve their skills and knowledge.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the overall performance of our operations team.
  • Requisition and Manage Resources
    • Requisition and manage the necessary resources, including vehicles, equipment, and supplies, to support our logistics operations.
    • Monitor and report on resource utilization to ensure optimal efficiency and reduce waste.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles)
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
    • Ability to train and develop team members
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic team. They will be required to work outdoors and may be exposed to varying weather conditions.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

The successful candidate will be required to work under pressure and meet deadlines. They will also be required to lift and move heavy objects, and may be exposed to hazardous materials.

Security and Safety

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a criminal record check.

Computer and Technology Knowledge

The successful candidate will be required to have knowledge of MS Office.

Language

The successful candidate will be required to communicate in English.
