Position Overview

Are you enthusiastic about mathematics and interested in a fulfilling part-time teaching role? ICan Education – Burlington is on the lookout for a Mathematics Educator to assist students in elementary and high school in enhancing their math skills through personalized instruction, both in-person and potentially online.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the ongoing development of students' mathematical abilities.
  • Provide in-person instruction at the ICan Education learning centre.
  • Work with elementary students from JK to grade 8, as well as high school students.
  • Evaluate students' proficiency and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
  • Complete regular assessments, participate in meetings, and engage in training as necessary.
  • Contribute to student review sessions.

Qualifications and Educational Background

  • A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience.
  • Experience with students who have special needs and learning difficulties.
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with the Ontario Curriculum, particularly in relation to English language requirements.
