Securiguard is a leading K9 security company in Canada, seeking highly skilled and passionate individuals to join our team as Security Patrol Officers. As a Security Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch security services to our clients across Canada.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide K9 protection support in accordance with established procedures.
- Conduct explosive or narcotic detection searches as directed by the K9 Manager.
- Collaborate with government agencies, such as Transport Canada.
- Prepare and maintain government-mandated reports.
- Provide exceptional customer service.
- Assist with site operations and respond to calls as needed.
- Coordinate with police and emergency services as required.
- Compile detailed reports, including occurrence reports, incident reports, and patrol reports.
- 2+ years of security experience or a strong customer service background.
- Previous K9 experience is an asset.
- Ability to obtain or possess a Transportation Security Clearance.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Willingness to travel for training and testing.
- Valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Provide a clean driver's abstract and update annually.
- Hold a valid provincial security license and maintain it throughout employment.
- Open availability.
- Ability to stand, sit, and patrol for up to 12 hours per day, carry 50lbs, and walk up and down stairs.
- Commit to a 2-month paid K9 training program in Langley, BC.
- Ability to work in inclement weather.
- Impeccable deportment, including cleanliness, neatness, and high personal hygiene.
- Maintain care for assigned dog in the field or kennels.
- Provide a suitable home and friendly environment for a dog.
- Have a suitable vehicle to transport the K9 to and from work in an approved crate.
- Experience and skills to deal with difficult people.
- Exceptional report writing skills.
- Customer service and solutions-focused.
- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to accept direction and guidance.
