Education: Candidates must possess a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Work Environment

Key Responsibilities
  • Exhibit professionalism in customer service interactions.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries and reservations.
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or in a convoy.
  • Operate lighter, specialized trucks.
  • Load and unload freight efficiently.
  • Acquire necessary permits and documentation for international cargo transport.
  • Drive straight or articulated trucks to deliver goods and materials.
  • Monitor vehicle condition and conduct inspections on tires, lights, brakes, and other essential equipment.
  • Perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs as needed.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all vehicle aspects.
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on vehicles.
  • Communicate and relay information to central dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo information, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping.
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials safely.
Required Certifications
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation Knowledge

Familiarity with driver logbooks is essential.

Physical Requirements
  • Overtime may be required.
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting.

Experience

Ideal candidates will have between 1 to less than 7 months of relevant experience.
