Job Opportunity

We are seeking a Registered Practical Nurse / Wellness Nurse to join our team in the Greater Sudbury Area. This is a full-time or part-time position that offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $33- $37 / hr.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care services, including medication administration, within the full scope of practice.
  • Work collaboratively with staff, patients, physicians, volunteers, and the public to ensure high-quality care.
  • Utilize patient care equipment and maintain a safe and healthy environment.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and adhere to HSNs privacy policy and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • A graduate from an approved School of Nursing (Registered Practical Nursing Program) or Registered Nursing Program, with a current certificate of competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support BCLS.
  • Theoretical and applied knowledge of the Practice Standards set out by the Ontario College of Nurses.
  • Relevant experience working within full scope of practice, including medication administration, within the last two (2) years.
  • Completion of RPN standardization (all modules) required.
  • Ministry of Labour Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps training certificate is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Meditech Client Service OE, and GRASP software.
  • Knowledgeable about community support services, home and community care, rehabilitative services, adult day programs, and other social services.
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
