About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring ECE Assistant to join our team at Little Creations Childcare Centre. As an ECE Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our childcare centre and contributing to the development of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Care and Education of Children
    • Provide high-quality care and education to infants and toddlers, including bathing, diapering, and feeding.
    • Engage children in activities that promote their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development.
    • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that meet the needs of our children.
  • Support to Educators
    • Assist early childhood educators in carrying out daily tasks and programs.
    • Help maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Centre Operations
    • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods.
    • Contribute to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our children.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Qualifications
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Child development assistant (ECE level 1) or child development worker (ECE level 2) certification.
    • Emergency child care first aid and CPR certification.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Punctuality and reliability.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent, part-time position, working 30 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced childcare environment, with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and bending.
