Job Summary

The Facility Operations Assistant Leader is a key member of the Operations team, responsible for assisting the Facility Operations Manager in delivering exceptional facilities and customer service. This role requires a high level of flexibility, as the successful candidate will work a varied schedule to meet the needs of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining club facilities, including locker rooms, fitness floors, and common areas
  • Respond to member feedback and concerns, providing timely and effective solutions
  • Support the manager in budget planning and recommendations
  • Train and develop team members through coaching, counseling, and continuous feedback
  • Participate in the club Safety Committee to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations
  • Assist with recruiting and interviewing for the Operations department
  • Attend regular department head, Operations department, and all-club meetings
  • Build strong relationships with members, gathering feedback and insights
  • Coordinate and create Operations staff schedules

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CPR/AED certification required within 30 days of hire
  • 1 year of customer service experience
  • Aquatic Facilities Operator Certification (AFO)
  • Certified Pool Operator license (CPO) within 3 months of hire
  • Flexibility to work a varied schedule

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in health and fitness operations
  • College degree in business, hospitality, or related field
  • Background in building operations
