About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior SCADA and Automation Specialist to join our team at FNX-INNOV. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the development of various technological solutions and services using cutting-edge SCADA and automation technologies for corporate and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct research, recommendations, and documentation for the design and optimization of SCADA and automation systems;
  • Formulate recommendations for the programming of industrial automation devices (RTU, PLC, etc.);
  • Design centralized control centers for SCADA systems (Surveillance, Control and Data Acquisition);
  • Translate client business needs into effective solutions;
  • Coordinate technical content validation of solutions with experts;
  • Analyze and evaluate alternative technological solutions to resolve business problems;
  • Develop technical proposals and contract models for clients, suppliers, and subcontractors;
  • Participate in technological consultations with suppliers and subcontractors to facilitate informed decision-making for the implementation of practical and effective solutions;
  • Prepare purchase orders in accordance with delivery plans;
  • Write progress reports to the IT Department Director;
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards (ISO).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent;
  • Experience as an architect or specialist in SCADA networks and automation, an asset;
  • Knowledge and experience with industrial automation devices (RTU, PLC, etc.) and SCADA communication standards;
  • Knowledge of SCADA systems (Surveillance, Control and Data Acquisition);
  • Knowledge of the ISO standard;
  • Good communication and decision-making skills;
  • Bilingual French/English, written and spoken, an asset;
  • Knowledge of MS Project, MS Office (especially Excel);
  • Availability for occasional overseas travel;
  • Appropriate certification, an asset.
