About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our Corporate Engineering team at E.S. Fox Limited. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the preparation of design reports and certification of design documents, ensuring compliance with company quality assurance standards and related procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project supervision, quality assurance, and facility management to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project budgets and costs, working closely with facility and project management to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Ensure that design reports are prepared, verified, approved, and reconciled with modified documents and final drawings as required.
  • Verify design output documents produced by vendors and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards.
  • Perform stress analysis and design of code items, as required, and select and review design methods, materials, parts, equipment, and processes.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with established company quality assurance standards and related procedures.
  • Document and maintain records of design analyses, ensuring that results are accurately recorded and reported.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • Practicing Professional Engineer designation, and in good standing.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of code requirements, including ASME Section VIII Division 1 and ASME B31 Codes.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in design engineering, with a focus on fabrication and construction.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to travel to job sites within southern Ontario and occasionally out of province.
