The Relief Pharmacist plays a vital role in supporting the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist in all aspects of Pharmacy Operations at Walmart Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure exceptional customer experience by providing excellent patient care and locating merchandise on the sales floor.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Professional Services District Managers and other stakeholders to drive business growth.
- Process prescriptions and refill requests from customers, doctors, or hospitals, ensuring accurate and efficient filling of prescriptions.
- Counsel patients on sold pharmaceutical products and ensure proper storage of pharmaceutical products.
- Operate all equipment in the pharmacy, including the register and computer system, while maintaining patient privacy and adhering to provincial regulations.
- Provide eligible services to patients, including medication reviews and injections, to meet specific patient needs.
- Travel to various locations and follow schedules set by the Relief program coordinator.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers within the store, including clinics and Vision Centre, to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Pharmacist License (secondary optional permit in Alberta: CA_APA - Additional Prescribing Authorization)
- Additional qualifications may be preferred, but are not required.
