About the Role:

Cedent Consulting Inc is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team. As a Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and testing Java, C++, and Python code. You will work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, extend, and operationalize government big data and cloud architecture ISR processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and test Java, C++, and Python code
  • Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, extend, and operationalize government big data and cloud architecture ISR processing systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy software solutions
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including UML/SysML diagrams
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to CMMI Level 3 or greater environments

Requirements:

  • At least a BS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 8 years of related experience
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
  • Experience with Linux software development (5+ years) using Systems Engineering principles
  • Development capabilities using a compiled language such as C/C++ or Java
  • Experience building, installing, and configuring software from source code and pre-built packages
  • Shell scripting skills
  • Experience developing in Python
  • Sound working knowledge of developing software for cloud environments
  • Experience with the following software: Accumulo, Apache, NiFi, Atlassian Tools, Enterprise Architect, MySQL, ZooKeeper

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Valid Security+ certification
