Description:
The role of the Front-end Application Developer involves designing and building advanced applications that are reliable, scalable, and meet high-level requirements and/or high-level solution designs. The ideal candidate will have expert knowledge and experience in client-side application frameworks, extensive JavaScript, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, GIT, Java, and WebSphere. Preference will be given to candidates with strong IBM WebSphere experience. The successful candidate will work remotely from their location, subject to COVID-19 requirements and changes to same. The anticipated term of this engagement will be for a period of one (1) year with the option to extend one (1) year. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting problems, analyzing and solving problems, documenting technical designs/research/support, and collaborating with other team members. The candidate will also be responsible for mentoring and providing technical guidance to cross-functional team members. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of the full software development life cycle, strong working knowledge of architectures, trends, and emerging technologies, and ability to design WCAG compliant web applications. The candidate will also have knowledge of SAML, OAuth Single Sign-On, and ability to deploy new features in different environments. The successful candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, and provide documentation for designs/new features & capabilities/research/trouble shooting. The candidate will also be responsible for unit-testing code for robustness, including usability and general reliability, and leading or participating in peer reviews on design or code walk-through. The successful candidate will have a solid understanding of PCI, web security, and vulnerabilities specifications, and ability to trouble shoot or debug problems in either a development or production environment. The candidate will also be responsible for collaborating with team members to define and design new features, mentoring, supporting, and providing guidance to cross-functional team members.
