Job Summary

The Drug Distribution & Digital Health Supervisor is a key role within the Pharmacy Department at Southern Health-Santé Sud. This position is responsible for planning and managing patient-centered pharmaceutical care services and digital health support regionally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with site pharmacists to ensure pharmaceutical care services align with strategic priorities and meet high standards of quality and patient safety.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including physicians, nurses, and other professional personnel, in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
  • Exercise initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, methods, and actions to be taken on unusual matters.
  • Contribute to making the organization safe for patients, residents, clients, and staff, and recognize the importance of reporting unsafe situations and participating in follow-up reviews.
  • Pursuant to the Service Delivery Organization, Southern Health-Santé Sud is designated bilingual (English/French). Accordingly, all employees accept responsibility to support clients in their official language of choice.
Requirements
  • CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate or the program prescribed by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba for candidates who successfully complete a non-CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Certificate.
  • License or eligible to license to practice as a Pharmacy technician in Manitoba, preferred.
  • Pharmacy Assistant course from a recognized institute.
  • Knowledge of information systems technology and software.
  • Knowledge of current pharmacy computer systems and software.
  • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Assistant.
  • Previous hospital experience is preferred.
  • Previous management experience is preferred.
  • Completion of a hospital residency program is preferable.
Conditions of Employment
  • Requires a valid Class 5 driver's license, an all-purpose insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.00.
