About the Role

Carter's is a leading apparel retailer for babies and young children, and we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Merchandise Associate to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Buying Support Functions:
    • Ensure accurate product information on Seasonal Line Sheets in our inventory management system.
    • Create and maintain product styles in our system, including Canada-exclusive styles.
    • Verify price accuracy across all systems.
    • Apply packing codes to all products.
    • Maintain bulk purchase orders for both brick-and-mortar stores and e-commerce platforms.
    • Create and update Monthly Flow Visual Boards.
    • Enter data for all promotions in our forecasting system.
    • Process purchase orders for outside vendors.
  • Collaborative Responsibilities:
    • Support Product Category Managers and outside vendor calendars, tasks, and requests.
    • Prioritize workload in partnership with Product Category Managers to meet daily and weekly deadlines.
    • Collaborate with the merchant team and cross-functional partners.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat).
  • Excellent oral and written communication, critical thinking, attention to detail, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Multitasking, decisiveness, teamwork, and ability to work with cross-functional partners.
  • Knowledge of retail math and analytics, merchandising principles, and product knowledge.
  • Attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Secondary education or equivalent experience.
  • At least 1 year of retail experience.
