Job Summary:

The IT Auditor will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and Security, whose primary role is to help in the creation and maintenance of published Information security policies, processes, and standards specific to FNF Canada. The IT Auditor will work with management and internal audit and external auditors on the alignment and implementation of Information Security recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the IT department and business on the alignment and implementation of Information Security recommendations.
  • Ensure escalation and notification for security and IT Risk-related recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
  • Complete and assist with vendor RFP, business continuity, and information security questionnaires.
  • Knowledge of the company's security strategy associated policies, platform-specific standards, and control objectives as they relate.
  • Prepare special audit and control reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing operating information and trends.
  • Maintain internal control systems by updating audit programs and questionnaires, recommending new policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Identify weaknesses in a system's network and create an action plan to prevent security breaches in technology.
  • Involved in the planning and execution of internal audit procedures and the creation of internal audit reports.
  • Work within a team to create a solid information technology infrastructure and collaborate with clients to devise and put in place policies and procedures regarding network security issues.
  • Assist in activities pertaining to the Information Security Awareness Program.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, information systems, accounting, or business administration.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience as an IT Auditor.
  • One or more of the following certifications considered an asset – CISSP, CISA, CISM.
  • Security and IT methodologies, standards, and best practices: other security-related frameworks are considered an asset.
  • Solid communication skills to not only understand technical jargon, but to translate technical jargon into business-related decisions for management and clients.
  • Risk assessment methodologies and practices.
