Job Summary

The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods. This includes preparing and cooking special meals for patients as instructed by a dietitian or chef. The Cook will also train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and clean kitchen and work areas.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience
