The Curry Pot is seeking dedicated Culinary Support Staff to join our vibrant kitchen team. This role is essential in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of our food preparation and serving areas.
Key Responsibilities- Dish Management: Ensure that clean dishes, utensils, and other kitchen items are readily available for service.
- Sanitation: Regularly clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, including dishwashers and waste disposal units.
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items while adhering to safety standards.
- Stock Maintenance: Replenish condiments and supplies at serving areas and maintain organized storage.
- Waste Management: Efficiently remove kitchen waste and maintain a clean working environment.
- Assistance: Support chefs by handling food items, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Education: Completion of secondary school is required.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment is an asset, ranging from 1 to 7 months.
This position requires working in a fast-paced kitchen setting with the following conditions:
- Ability to handle heavy loads and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to work overtime and manage repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Client-focused attitude and strong interpersonal skills.
- Reliability and a positive team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to multitask and demonstrate initiative in a busy environment.
This is a permanent position with a standard work schedule of 40 hours per week. The working language is English.
