We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and services to clients in need.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement programs of assistance for clients, including those with mental health issues and substance abuse problems.
  • Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care and support to clients.
  • Administer tests and assessments to identify client needs and develop effective intervention strategies.
  • Develop and implement prevention and intervention programs to meet community needs and promote healthy behaviors.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and services, making adjustments as needed.
  • Provide crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to clients in need.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field.
  • Membership in a provincial association of social workers.
  • Experience working with clients with mental health issues and substance abuse problems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
