About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled IT Internal Audit Assistant Manager to join our growing team at Intact Financial Corporation.

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the risk-based audit plan, ensuring that IT audit work meets internal standards and the Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform IT audit assignments, focusing on Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, Network Operations, and Cloud environments.
  • Manage projects, including budgeting and timelines, and lead assigned staff to ensure quality work.
  • Develop scope, audit programs, and procedures for each audit, adhering to departmental guidelines, IIA Standards, and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Lead or support audit teams in kick-off and closing meetings, effectively communicating audit objectives, scope, findings, and recommendations to management.
  • Work with business stakeholders to implement recommendations and prepare audit reports for review.
  • Participate in the development and modification of audit practices and tools, as well as department initiatives.
  • Foster risk and control awareness across the organization by working with management and other line of defense functions.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT auditing.
  • Recognized professional designation (CIA, CISA, CCSK, CCSP, CISSP, CISM, PMP, etc.).
  • Experience in internal IT audit in a large public organization or external audit.
  • Cybersecurity skills are required.
  • Knowledge of best practices and strong security controls over cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.) is an asset.
  • Strong analytical skills leading to accurate conclusions.
  • Strong project management skills and solutions-driven.
  • Versed in audit methodologies.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Experience using data analytics tools.
  • Prior insurance industry experience is an asset.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required.
