About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Service Technician to join our team at Time For Service & Repairs Ltd. As an Automotive Service Technician, you will be responsible for inspecting and testing mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions, repairing or replacing mechanical units or components, and testing and adjusting repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units: Conduct thorough inspections and tests to identify faults and malfunctions in mechanical units.
  • Repair or Replace Mechanical Units: Repair or replace mechanical units or components as needed to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Systems: Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications to ensure quality and reliability.
  • Estimate Parts and Labour Costs: Estimate parts and labour costs to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the automotive service industry.
  • Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification.
  • Area of Specialization: Engine repair and overhaul.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Hand-eye co-ordination, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
