We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Commercial Finance Group at Equitable Bank. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Account Managers and Underwriting Associates in the management and oversight of a large portfolio of commercial and construction mortgages.
Key Responsibilities- Portfolio Management: Lead a team of Account Managers and Underwriting Associates in the management and oversight of a large portfolio of commercial and construction mortgages.
- Team Leadership: Provide guidance, support, and ongoing training to your team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects, including cost overruns and scope changes.
- Customer Service: Ensure that our customers receive exceptional service and support, and that their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
- Reporting and Analysis: Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior management on the performance of the portfolio and the team.
- Education: Post-secondary education in business or finance.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressively senior experience in commercial real estate lending, with a specific focus on construction lending.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of commercial lending, financial statement analysis, and the Canadian commercial lending environment. Ability to identify and mitigate risks associated with construction projects.
- Leadership: Proven ability to inspire and motivate a team to work towards a set of goals and objectives.
