About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Little Feet Big Steps. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Assessment and Planning: Assess the children's development to prepare a learning plan tailored to their needs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers and community service providers working with children.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and well-being of children.
  • Supervision and Coordination: Supervise and coordinate activities of other early childhood educators and early childhood educator assistants.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
