About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in software development, with a focus on mobile applications. You will be responsible for translating business objectives into clear team and individual objectives, and for developing and monitoring the team's progress. You will also be responsible for building productive and engaged teams, mentoring team members in their career development, and acting as the primary technical contact with other technology teams.

Responsibilities

  • Translate business objectives into clear team and individual objectives and a clear, innovative and inspiring technology roadmap, in collaboration with the product owner and the Manager, Strategy and Design.
  • Develop and monitor the team's progress and share feedback with them.
  • Build productive and engaged teams, helping them develop personal and technical skills. Mentor team members in their career development.
  • Act as primary technical contact with other technology teams.
  • Work with the team to determine technical feasibility and to ensure the highest possible quality product is offered to customers. Identify opportunities to reuse and optimize code components.
  • Define and implement production support to identify and help the team solve technical issues in our applications.
  • Work with other managers to ensure that all initiatives have the appropriate resources, balancing business needs with each team member's experience and professional goals.
  • Actively develop strategies for the removal of ineffective or unnecessary processes while mitigating risk.
  • Continuously update and improve development practices, tools and processes, empowering people to work independently while also creating more efficient teams, and ensure they can meet our digital leadership objectives.
