Risk Management Specialist Overview

PCL Constructors Inc. is in search of a seasoned Risk Management Specialist to enhance our team. The successful candidate will possess a robust background in risk management and insurance, with at least a decade of experience in the industry.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the planning, design, and execution of the organization's Risk Management framework.
  • Ensure alignment of risk management strategies with corporate objectives and risk tolerance levels.
  • Perform risk identification evaluations by scrutinizing contracts, documents, statistics, reports, and market dynamics.
  • Assess and quantify risks, taking into account costs, legal obligations, environmental considerations, and historical loss data.
  • Offer guidance and insights on risk and insurance issues to internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee third-party service providers in the realms of insurance, finance, and legal matters.
  • Engage in negotiations pertinent to managing financial risks associated with projects.
  • Innovate strategies to manage and finance risk-related expenses.
  • Promote risk awareness and education throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in risk management and/or insurance.
  • Proven leadership capabilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Degree in Risk Management, Business, Finance, Economics, or Law.
  • Strong technical knowledge in insurance and risk management practices.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
