Position: Senior Culinary Specialist
Salary: £27,533 (£13.20 per hour)
We are looking for a skilled and dedicated chef to enhance our culinary team. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality meal services for our residents.
Role Overview: You will collaborate closely with the Chef Manager to ensure the delivery of outstanding breakfast, lunch, and dinner services for up to 68 residents. Our meals emphasize fresh, seasonal ingredients. While familiarity with special dietary needs and IDDSI standards is advantageous, we offer comprehensive training for those who may not have this background.
Work Schedule:
4 days a week, totaling 40 hours
Hours: 07:30 - 17:30
Every other weekend off

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare nutritious and high-quality meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients
- Oversee catering assistants during shifts
- Ensure adherence to food safety and health & safety regulations
Required Knowledge & Experience:
- NVQ/C&G/SVQ in Catering
- Experience with fresh, seasonal produce
- Understanding of health & safety regulations, including COSHH and HACCP
- Proven experience in a similar culinary environment
- Awareness of dietary needs for older adults
- Knowledge of IDDSI (training provided if necessary)
- Experience in baking and pastry preparation
