Senior Software Engineer - Backend Services

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, BC. As a key member of our backend services team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable and efficient backend systems.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including a marina management system for a North American operator. You will have the chance to work alongside a seasoned team of engineers who are passionate about building distributed systems and platforms.

The ideal candidate will have experience with API and microservice development, as well as deployments to the cloud using Azure, AWS, or GCP. You should also have a strong understanding of DevOps culture and experience with CICD. Additionally, you will have excellent interpersonal communication skills for working with customers and experience with startup culture or lean teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop scalable and efficient backend systems
  • Deploy systems to the cloud using Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Work with a seasoned team of engineers to build distributed systems and platforms
  • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in the industry

Requirements:

  • Experience with API and microservice development
  • Experience with deployments to the cloud using Azure, AWS, or GCP
  • Strong understanding of DevOps culture and experience with CICD
