Qualifications: Applicants must possess qualifications in French.
Additional Information:
Candidates should be in good standing or in the process of obtaining Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification before the commencement date and must be enrolled in or have completed their French as a Second Language (FSL) course, or an equivalent program recognized by the Ontario College of Teachers.
External applicants must provide at least three (3) professional references, including full name, position title, organization, and email address, during the application process. References will not be contacted prior to the interview stage.
Internal candidates are encouraged to include all relevant teaching experiences in their application, along with two (2) references, one of which must be a YRDSB administrator.
This position specifically requires proficiency in French Core, and candidates must meet the Board's language standards.
As a condition of employment, successful candidates will need to present a current original Police Vulnerable Sector Check or an Enhanced Police Information Check (EPIC) prior to starting their role. These documents must be issued within the last six months and should not be obtained before receiving a job offer.
Examples of Acceptable References:
- Principal or Vice-Principal who has supervised the candidate and can attest to their teaching abilities.
- Faculty Advisor or Practicum Coordinator who has evaluated the candidate's teaching in a classroom environment.
- Host or Mentor Teacher who has overseen the candidate's teaching practice.
- Professional reference who can provide insights into the candidate's teaching methods.
