Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Truck Driver to join our team at Lyman Huestis & Son Inc. as a key member of our transportation operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Safely operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Transportation Experience: Possess experience in transportation, with a focus on local routes and the ability to navigate through various terrain.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Hold a valid Air Brakes Endorsement and a Driver's License (Class 3 or D), ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Equipment Operation: Be proficient in operating straight trucks with a gross vehicle weight rating of 4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+, equipped with 3+ axles.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, requiring attention to detail, flexibility, and the ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a sitting position for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
