Environmental Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Environmental Technologist to join our team in Timmins, ON. As an Environmental Technologist, you will be responsible for performing Environmental Site Assessments, groundwater monitoring, and sampling, as well as preparing reports and assisting with determining appropriate recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Environmental Site Assessments to support transactional due diligence and Records of Site Condition
  • Perform groundwater monitoring and sampling, determining hydraulic conductivity, surveying, and Site plan creation
  • Monitor underground storage tank removal programs
  • Prepare reports and assist with determining appropriate recommendations
  • Liaise with Site representatives and contractors
Requirements:
  • Degree or diploma in a related discipline, preferably in environmental science or engineering
  • P.Eng. or P.Geo. designations or working towards will be considered an asset
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental consulting will be considered an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of O.Reg. 153/04 and the Phase I and II CSA Standards
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Valid driver's license, insurance & personal vehicle required
  • Availability to travel for work within the Northeastern Ontario Area
