About the Role

F & S Logistics Limited is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning and Execution

Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Utilize computer equipment, GPS, and other navigation devices to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.

Mountain Driving Expertise

Drive in mountainous terrain, requiring expertise and attention to detail to navigate challenging routes.

Teamwork and Communication

Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, working closely with colleagues to ensure smooth operations and effective communication.

Vehicle Maintenance and Inspection

Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.

Documentation and Record-Keeping

Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, as well as maintain driver logs and other necessary documentation.

Security and Safety

Ensure the safety and security of cargo, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements
  • Certifications and Licenses

AZ class license and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) are required.

Personal Qualities

Excellent judgment, organizational skills, reliability, and a strong work ethic are essential for success in this role.

Language and Communication

Fluency in English is required, with excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

Work 40 to 50 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
