Job Title: Director of Contractor Management

EnVision Consultants Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Contractor Management to join our team.

About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in municipal engineering and project management to lead our contractor management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering municipal projects, including report and proposal writing, business development, client liaison, and project management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver municipal projects, including report and proposal writing, business development, client liaison, and project management
  • Monitor and manage overall workload and staffing levels within the department
  • Work with Leaders and other Managers to support inter-office collaboration and resource/work sharing to balance workloads and meet project delivery objectives
  • Be accountable for the overall financial and operational performance of the department under your direction
  • Be responsible for overall resource management, including recruitment, staff development, performance management, and salary review process
  • Collaborate with other disciplines at EnVision with respect to multi-disciplinary projects
  • Travel to sites within the Greater Toronto Area and Ontario, as needed
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering with 10+ years of consulting and/or municipal experience
  • At least 5 years of managing and mentoring technical staff
  • Municipal Engineering design and construction experience is essential with specific experience related to water, sanitary, and stormwater projects
  • Proven success in client relationship management and strong leadership skills
  • Comfortable interacting with public agencies, clients, contractors, and co-workers
  • A valid G license and access to a vehicle to travel to and from sites (mileage to sites compensated), including valid and appropriate vehicle insurance
