Crown Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Fiber Optics Installation Specialist to join our team. As a Fiber Optics Installation Specialist, you will be responsible for assisting in the installation of inner duct and fiber optics cable around airport runways, taxiways, and terminals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance in the installation of fiber optics and inner duct cables, ensuring they are handled and managed without damage.
  • Operate and manage large cable reels, lubricate cables as they enter manholes, and assist in overall safety procedures.
  • Receive on-site directions and instructions from team leads and engineers to ensure successful project completion.
  • Utilize experience in communications and telecommunications, preferably with FAA communication equipment and systems installation and integration.
  • Apply knowledge of manual and power tools, test equipment (multimeter, ohmmeter, power meter, oscilloscope, etc.), and climb antenna towers (feet or greater) as required.
  • Independently recognize problems/issues encountered during installations, troubleshoot, and implement solutions to complete projects.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree preferred.
  • Ability to work in a high-risk environment with active passenger aircraft movement nearby.
  • Capacity to perform assigned work under severe time restraints.

Work Schedule

Monday through Thursday, with a variable number of hours per week.
