We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Technician to join our team at BioVectra. The successful candidate will be responsible for participating in design review activities, equipment selection and specification process, and overseeing the installation of equipment as per manufacturer's recommendations or engineering design.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in design review activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to select and specify equipment and materials.
- Oversee the installation of equipment, ensuring that it is properly installed and functioning as intended.
- Redline and revise piping and instrumentation drawings (PIDs), facility and equipment drawings, and update AutoCAD drawings.
- Troubleshoot process systems, equipment, and instruments to identify and resolve issues.
- Coordinate project work with third-party contractors and vendors.
- Prepare commissioning documentation and execute commissioning test functions.
- Execute qualification protocols to test equipment and ensure it meets industry standards.
- Participate in impact assessment activities to determine critical components for quality, safety, and environment.
- Develop and maintain maintenance and operation procedures, and train staff on the proper use and maintenance of equipment.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, CET, or MET.
- Experience in a project-based work environment.
- Industrial experience in a GMP environment is an asset.
- Ability to read, interpret, revise, and create AutoCAD drawings.
- Experience reading and writing in a technical manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving, coordination, and computer skills.
- Ability to work independently in a regulated environment.
