Job Summary:

The Food Service Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that all food and service meet quality control standards. This includes supervising and coordinating the activities of staff, training staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and maintaining records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, including cooks, food and beverage servers, and food service counter attendants and food preparers.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, and ensure that they are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare food order summaries for the chef.
  • Hire and oversee the training and supervision of staff, and determine the type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
  • Address customers' complaints or concerns, and ensure that all staff are aware of their responsibilities in this regard.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a food service environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff and customers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending, crouching, kneeling, and walking.
Working Conditions:

The Food Service Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of customer interaction. The ability to work under pressure and maintain a high level of professionalism is essential.
