Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Control Systems Designer to join our team. As an Electrical Control Systems Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical control systems for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Create detailed electrical systems or components from engineering sketches, read and interpret drawings and specifications received from clients.
  • Project Management: Assist in researching and recommending best applicable technologies, attend design review meetings, and maintain project files.
  • On-Site Execution: Perform engineering tasks, including assisting in system commissioning, installation, testing, and start-up, and understand and follow client's plant standards and safety regulations.
  • Client Service: Assist in providing technical support for client inquiries and requests for service, troubleshoot various components, systems, and situations, and utilize best techniques for troubleshooting client inquiries.
Requirements
  • Education: Electrical/electronics technician, technologist, or engineering graduate from a recognized college/university.
  • Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant work experience, control system design, onsite start-up and commissioning, analyze and interpret specifications, take customer concepts and develop detailed engineering documentation, experience with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, motor controls, industrial networks, and instrumentation, proficient knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Desirable Experience: Experience leading projects, marine industry, cement industry, DCS (ex. Siemens PCS 7), knowledge of IEC standards, hazardous area design, 3D drafting.
