Position Overview

As a Transportation Manager at Inter-citi Logistics, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the daily logistics operations. Your expertise will ensure that our transportation services run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and enhance daily operational processes
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance metrics
  • Strategically plan and organize daily logistics activities
  • Prepare for adjustments in schedules and operational policies
  • Compile and present reports to senior management
  • Recruit, train, and supervise staff members
  • Manage financial resources and budget allocations
  • Coordinate shipping documentation and oversee tracking of goods in transit
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations
  • Develop and implement policies for the transportation and storage of goods
  • Negotiate service contracts and secure preferential rates
  • Oversee vehicle scheduling and dispatching operations
  • Set transportation service rates and monitor revenue streams
  • Organize and maintain inventory records
  • Document cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage
Supervisory Responsibilities

Manage a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.
