About SSMU:

The Student's Society of McGill University (SSMU) has been a representative body for over 20,000 members since its inception in 1908, providing essential services and advocacy.

Position Overview:

This is a voluntary role within the foremost governing entity of SSMU, tasked with making critical decisions regarding operations, financial matters, human resources, and corporate governance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in Board meetings as a voting participant

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold SSMU Membership
  • No active role within SSMU, whether compensated or voluntary
  • Familiarity with SSMU and its governance frameworks
  • Background in financial, operational, and legal domains

Additional Information:

  • This is a volunteer opportunity
  • Expected commitment of 2 to 4 hours weekly
