About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Estimator to join our team at AWC Process Solutions Ltd.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cost estimating, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. InEight experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have a junior level knowledge of cost estimating, and be familiar with estimating processes, software suites, and proposal creation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed cost estimates and budgetary pricing estimates for all bid projects.
  • Work with sales team and applications engineers to develop project requirements.
  • Review client bid packages, project specifications, and drawing packages.
  • Solicit subcontractor and vendor quotations.
  • Creation and maintenance of estimating database.
  • Proposal content creation.
  • Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Communicate with engineers, clients, subcontractors, and vendors to prepare changes and adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Develop post-award handover packages.
  • Other duties related to estimating and project quoting.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of related experience, ideally with estimating in a manufacturing environment.
  • Post-secondary education in an Engineering, Construction, or Technical Discipline.
  • Experience with Water & Wastewater treatment preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret P&ID drawings, Process drawings, and design drawings.
  • Strong work ethic, self-motivation, and pride in delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), interpersonal, and customer service skills.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, including attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Interest in continuous learning.
