About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our Social Media & Influencer Marketing team within the Marketing department at Wattpad. As a Marketing Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our evergreen content and campaigns across a global community of millions across our social media channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in executing social media marketing initiatives across various platforms using social, marketing, and product tools.
  • Work closely with the Creative team and content creators to brief in creative concepts.
  • Help coordinate social media content and campaigns using project management tools, including working with stakeholders to ensure timely input, review, and approval of marketing tactics.
  • Use social listening to monitor and identify opportunities for community engagement to support channel growth and brand awareness.
  • Work closely with Brand Safety to ensure community concerns and issues raised on social media channels are escalated appropriately.
  • Stay up-to-date on social trends, tools, best practices, and have a point of view on emerging new social channels to surface insights and learnings to help optimize content and engagement.
Requirements
  • A highly engaged individual with a passion for the platform, Wattpad stories, and their creators.
  • Educational or working experience in marketing/communications.
  • Strong organizational or project management skills.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of social media channels and have a point of view on which brands are doing amazing work in social.
  • Comfortable with data and able to glean learning and insights from numbers.
  • Eagerness to take initiative and ability to juggle multiple priorities with ease.
  • Ability to work from Toronto HQ occasionally (1-2 times/month) for content creation is preferred, but not required.
