About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Farm Operations Supervisor to join our team at Barry Chernuka. As a key member of our agricultural operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our farm, ensuring the health and well-being of our livestock, and maintaining the highest standards of farm safety and bio-security.

Key Responsibilities
  • Animal Health and Welfare
    • Monitor the health and well-being of our livestock, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve animal health and welfare.
  • Supervision and Coordination
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
    • Ensure that all farm activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Farm Operations and Maintenance
    • Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
    • Perform general farm duties, including equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Work Scheduling and Planning
    • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient farm operations.
    • Plan and coordinate farm activities to meet production targets.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in farm operations or a related field.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • First Aid Certificate.
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience
    • Tractor.
    • Haying equipment.
    • Farm truck.
