Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Broadcasting Engineer to join our dynamic team at Rogers Sports & Media. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for executing field camera work, editing, and other areas of modern media production.

Key Responsibilities

• Non-linear editing of content for CityNews using the Grass Valley Edit System

• Work with 5.1 audio and other advanced audio technologies

• Collaborate with outside clients within the Rogers group of companies

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Work flexible hours, including weekends and shifts

Requirements

• Previous experience in a broadcast environment, preferably in a newsroom environment

• Experience in non-linear based editing and video production

• Knowledge of Grass Valley Edius and Stratus, as well as 5.1 audio

• Strong understanding of broadcast workflows and the ability to adapt to new workflows

• Strong technical skills and attention to detail

• Local news knowledge and understanding of current events

• Ability to work well in a high-stress environment and meet tight deadlines

• Valid Driver's license
