POSITION OVERVIEW

The Brandt division is seeking a talented Agricultural Technology Consultant. This role is pivotal in implementing the Precision Agriculture initiatives at the field level for designated locations.

As a key player in the latest technological advancements and service offerings in the Precision Agriculture domain, the consultant will engage with local teams to illustrate how these innovations enhance customer operations. The role involves advising clients on data management solutions while appropriately billing for time spent supporting technology sales and achieving performance objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Sales and support of technology-related equipment and services for assigned locations
    • Driving the sales of all products within the Precision Agriculture parts inventory for designated locations
  • Data Service Sales
    • Promoting value-added data services (such as profit mapping and crop intelligence)
    • Encouraging machine connectivity and demonstrating how data can yield operational efficiency insights
  • Consulting with clients on data extraction to guide management decisions based on data analysis
  • Collaborating with the Account Manager to execute startup optimization workflows ensuring data and machine efficiency when equipment is acquired
  • Educating local service and sales teams on machine optimization techniques
  • Training parts and sales personnel on new technology offerings available in the Precision AG Parts inventory
  • Maintaining regular communication with the Precision AG Lead to establish budgetary goals and collaboratively develop strategies to achieve these objectives for local locations

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
  • Familiarity with John Deere Precision Agriculture products is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Willingness to work shifts and/or weekends during peak periods
  • Regular travel to client sites is expected

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

  • A strong desire to learn and stay informed about emerging technologies and data solutions
  • A background or education in IT is beneficial
  • Sales experience is a valuable asset but not essential
  • A proven ability to cultivate long-term client relationships
  • A history of achieving or surpassing sales targets
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of customer service
  • Familiarity with John Deere Precision Agriculture products is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Willingness to work shifts and/or weekends during peak periods
  • Regular travel to client sites is expected
