About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Bakery Clerk to join our team at Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our store team, you will play a vital role in providing an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to all Food Safety Protocols, Standard Operating Procedures, Health and Safety, corporate policies, and other programs and initiatives
  • Provide customer service to meet customer needs
  • Keep work area clean and presentable
  • Process customer Bakery orders
  • Perform program execution and merchandising of product
  • Handle and prepare Bakery products
  • Increase store sales by actively promoting products
  • Participate in the training of junior staff
  • Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures as required
  • Process department shrink
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment as per Company requirements
  • Other duties as required
  • Flexibility to work a variety of hours which may include days, evenings, and weekends
  • Able to move up to 50lbs and be in constant mobility for an entire shift, standing for long periods of time
  • Bakery/Grocery experience required
  • Knowledge of SAP operations an asset
