Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Culinary Specialist to join our team at ZYKA ELEVATED INDIAN RESTAURANT. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with a focus on East Indian cuisine.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year and less than 2 years in a similar role.
Work Environment

The position is based in a restaurant setting, and candidates should be open to relocation if necessary.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of meals and individual dishes.
  • Develop special meals tailored to dietary requirements as directed by a dietitian or head chef.
  • Conduct inspections of kitchens and food service areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Train kitchen staff in food preparation, cooking techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
  • Manage inventory by ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
