We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Stationary Engineer to join our team at Black & McDonald Limited. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our ammonia plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain air compressors, chillers, water towers, water softeners, air dryers, pumps, and fans to ensure optimal plant performance.
  • Perform routine inspection and testing of equipment and building infrastructure to ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct minor repair and general maintenance duties associated with building systems.
  • Monitor and maintain water treatment for chillers and cooling towers.
  • Document air compressor readings, plant steam produced and consumption, and gas consumption.
  • Track and log all gas, water, and hydro readings.
  • Provide access and assistance to sub-trades as required.
Requirements
  • Must possess a 3rd Class Power Engineer certificate or higher or 'A' or 'B' Refrigeration Operator class certificate.
  • Must have experience working as an operator in an ammonia plant.
  • Strong troubleshooting and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work 3:30 pm-3:30 am on a continental shift.
  • Good computer skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to climb stairs and work on a ladder or scaffold as required.
